Boldo is a “bitter” ally for regenerating the liver and poor digestion

Esfera Dourada’s photo.    Boldo infusion has a strong bitter taste, but for the regeneration of the liver, it is worth the sacrifice.

Boldo (Peumus Boldus Molina)

Properties:

Antispasmodic, anesthetic, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, depurative, detoxifying, stimulating, sedative and anthelmintic…

Infusion:

Start by putting two teaspoons of dried Boldo or 5 fresh Boldo leaves, for a few minutes, in a little cold water in a cup. Then add water heated to 90°C (when the water starts to boil) and cover for 10 minutes. Once cooled, it is ready to be consumed (see here how to make an infusion).

Application:

  • Stomach burns,
  • bile,
  • kidney stones,
  • cystitis,
  • headache,
  • liver,
  • flatulence,
  • gout,
  • clean the blood,
  • poor digestion,
  • hangover,
  • cold sweat…

Contraindication:

Pregnant (may cause abortion), and lactating women, people with inflamed and obstructed bile ducts and in cases of acute hepatitis. Each body is different, it is, therefore, important to be aware of any incompatibility, total or momentary, generated by its ingestion.
