Shampoo and hair conditioner
We daily consume shampoos and hair conditioners, but you may not know that your head is being washed with sodium sulfate, which is a carcinogen. What other harmful products are also mixed through the fragrances that shampoos and hair conditioners offer us?
Many of these products’ action may also block the pineal gland, [it’s the gland that has a command action on the remaining glands], the two subtle bodies [subtle physical body and subtle etheric body], the vortexes of the soul pyramid (coronary and frontal chakras) or the base of the body’s pyramid. Blockages that will eventually have an impact on the body, spirit, and soul of the Human Being.
Next time you buy these types of products, first see if the ingredients, despite the small letters, that are present are harmless and also if they are environmentally friendly.
Shaving foams
Shaving foams and many of the creams that are used after shaving can give satisfaction, but many of them are toxic products. Shaving foam contains, for example, butane, Diazolidinyl Urea, triethanolamine (used in chemical weapons) or nitrosamines and parabens which are considered carcinogenic. As if that were not enough after shaving is given to the skin products loaded with fragrances abundant in synthetic essences whose effects on the skin and the organism are totally hidden. Alternatively, you can try products based on Aloe Vera and other natural products like avocado. But often the solution may even be just ice water.
Deodorants
Deodorants and antiperspirants are also part of our daily routine, but the vast majority that is available on the groceries’ shelves are not health friendly. This is due to its ingredients, such as aluminum salts and multiple preservatives with the termination of methyl, ethyl, propyl or benzyl, among others, also known as parabens. The truth is that all of these ingredients can trigger unbalance in relation to infertility, causes allergies or even provokes degenerative diseases.
Alternatively, use the Alum crystal stone (or Potassium alum) as well as aloe-based. These deodorants are easily found in natural products stores. You can also use the Floral Rescue or simply use nothing and pay more attention to food since the armpits, such as the groin, are specific elimination points of our body, like for example, the ingested toxins.
It’s important to remember that armpits free of blockages are guaranteed that the lymph nodes are working at 100%.
Moisturizing cream
The moisturizer used after bathing is a recurring habit of many consumers who want to keep their skin moisturized. However, it is important to remember that each package comes with more than 30 ingredients coming from the oil and that are not friends of our health and much less of the Planet. Try, for example, products based on shea butter or natural oils and be more careful about food. The solution is to opt for quality nutrition, preferably with 100% biological food. The skin is water and its efficient breathing ensures that there is a balanced interaction with the nine layers of the soul.
Health at risk
Many brands insert in their synthetic mixture, to try to reproduce essential oils’ odor, substances that are not friendly to our health. According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), these harmful substances are often described on the labels with generalist names or simply titled as a fragrance to hide the true substances from consumers. The European Commission has also recognized that many of these substances are Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). These are synthetic chemicals that can develop allergies, causes hormonal changes, trigger degenerative stresses or premature puberty, among many other situations.
Laboratory tests, commissioned by Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and analyzed by the Environmental Working Group, in 2014, have detected 38 secret chemicals in registered brands such as American Eagle Seventy, Coco Chanel, Britney Spears Curious, Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio, among others.
The tested medium fragrance product contained 14 secret chemicals not listed on the perfume label. Among them are the chemicals associated with hormonal disorders and allergic reactions, among others. But it’s not only the perfumes that raise suspicions, even air fresheners, incense, scented candles are also blacklisted.
In 2004, the president of the European Consumers’ Association (BEUC) admitted in Brussels that “contrary to what we are led to believe, air fresheners and perfumes for the home do not purify but, on the contrary, emitting clearly toxic substances “. Jim Murray promoted a study carried out by consumer associations in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, and Italy where he concluded that there is “a real risk to health not only for allergic people or asthmatics but also for pregnant women, children and all use them habitually.” Most of these type of products contain substances considered carcinogenic – like benzene – and even some can affect the reproductive system. Of the 30 products analyzed (brands such as Ambipur, Brise, Carrefour, Air Wick, Auchan / Continente and Regitteo) 22 received a negative result and 16 were found with carcinogenic substances.
What can we do?
Try not to use so many products with fragrances. If you really like your perfume, then maybe you can use other cosmetics without any fragrance. You can also opt for fragrances without adding fragrance, although many brands sell products like “zero fragrance”, “natural fragrance” or “fragrance-free” but actually insert fragrance components into their products. Before buying, you should first do research to try to know the components of the perfume and make sure the brand is safe and environmentally friendly.
How much is the cosmetics market worth
The latest study led by DBK, a Spanish consultant that analyzes the sector and the competition, reveals that in 2015 the Portuguese market for perfumes and cosmetics handled around 800 million euros and the Spanish one just over four billion. In both markets, there is a concentration of supply through large multinational groups, with the top five companies controlling almost 40% of the market. In the Iberian market, there were a total of 315 companies in 2015, of which 80 operate in Portugal and most of them are concentrated in Lisbon.
