Birthwort (Aristolochia esperanzae)

Properties:

Analgesic, diuretic, digestive, antiseptic, sedative, soothing, emmenagogue…

Infusion:

Start by putting a teaspoon of dried Birthwort for a few minutes, in a little cold water, in a cup. Then add hot water at 90°C (when the water starts to boil) and cover for 10 minutes. Once cooled, it is ready to be consumed (see here how to prepare an infusion).

Application:

  • Asthma,
  • colic,
  • convulsions,
  • heart,
  • diabetes,
  • diarrhea,
  • epilepsy,
  • fevers,
  • liver,
  • flatulence,
  • gout,
  • poor digestion,
  • malaria,
  • kidney,
  • syphilis…

Contraindication:

During pregnancy (has abortive properties), while breastfeeding, as well as by anyone suffering from high blood pressure. Birthwort has a high potential, many people are not ready to receive this level of energy and it must, therefore, be consumed under the supervision of a therapist or specialist. Its consumption should not exceed 30 days.
