How to make garlic water and garlic tea

Garlic should be consumed raw because after being heated or processed, it loses or transforms its beneficial properties. There is also black garlic (fresh garlic put in a fermentation box for 60 to 90 days for a natural fermentation) that can be used later in cooking, without the strong smell and the traditional garlic taste.

Regarding capsules, the quality highly differs from brand to brand. The recommendation is 500 to 1,000 mg of garlic oil per day as a protective effect, or one to two fresh and raw garlic cloves per day, which can be ingested with water, tea or juice.

Garlic Water

To prepare the garlic water, you should put a clove of garlic kneaded in 100 ml of water and let the mixture rest overnight. This water should be consumed in fasting to help, for example, to cleanse the bowel and lower cholesterol.

Garlic Tea

The tea should be made with one clove of garlic for every 100 to 200 ml of water. You should add chopped or crushed garlic in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes, remove from heat and drink warm. To enhance the flavor, you can add ginger zest, lemon drops and a teaspoon of honey.
